My grandfather Anthony (Antonino) Longo was born in Temini Imerese Sicily on October 4, 1894. He immigrated with his family to St. Louis, Missouri in 1909. He traveled to St. Louis under the patonage of his cousin Joe Sansone who then married Josephine Longo. His father who was a fisherman had died in SIcily. His mother, two sisters Mary & Josephine, and his two brothers Joseph & Andrew traveled with him.

I went through school in St. Louis with a Michael Dattilo and am thinking about trying to get to the Cleveland reunion this September. My wife and I live in Washington, PA. Thank you for this website.

My family is also from Termini Imerese. My grandfather Salvatore Rizzo also immigrated to St Louis and then moved to Cincinnati, Ohio. His father’s name was also Salvatore.

Termini Imerese is a pretty small town! I would bet some of your relatives are some of my relatives.

My grandfather would never talk much about the old country because he was embarrassed due to the Sicilian Mafia reputation.

Please let me know how I can find birth records or marriage records from Termini.

    Thanks.

My grandmother Rose Maniaci ( nee Mercurio) family was from termini. Her family immigrated to Appleton Wi and then to Milwaukee Wi. Her father’s name was Augustino Mercurio. Might be attending reunion in Sept. Would love to find relatives still living in Termini, or hear from anyone who might think we are related. Glad I found your website.

We are looking for the Catanzaro family from Termini. Some came to Minnesota late 1800s or early 1900s.

Bill, I don’t see a direct connection, but I noticed your last name Saia. I did my good friend who has Sais’ in her lines and her line comes from Cefalu, Italy, which is pretty close to Termini. I have some Saia genealogy for her side, her line is in MS.
